Things that make me happy

On my way to work yesterday morning, I was blessed with this view. My favorite flower. Everywhere. They looked so beautiful in the bright sunlight and I couldn't resist taking a photo. Thank heavens for camera phones. That photo got me through a rough day yesterday so I thought I would share it with all of you. Enjoy!

Will someone please explain to me...

how one can drop off their laundry at the laundry mat to then pick it up and find that the one thing missing from their laundry is a queen size mattress pad. Not a sock but a QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS PAD.

Please explain this to me!

Feet

Feet. I have a thing with my feet. I like my feet protected. I love socks and socks on my feet inside shoes. I am only barefoot in my own home or where I feel at home. I love getting pedicures and I love the way my feet look once the pedicure is done. This is generally the moment you will find me in sandals or somestrappy set of shoes. If I could, I would get consistent pedicures year round. But frankly, they are expensive. The good ones at least. Now don't get me wrong, I like my feet. I think they're actually a good set of feet. So why don't I show them off more? Cause I don't like my feet to feel dirty. I could have had the longest day of my life and if my feet feel dirty at the end of the day, guess what. I am gonna wash them. I think my disgust for dirty feet got worse when I moved to NYC. Because you take one step outside in sandals and you're feet are black. FOUL. Its bad because I cannot crawl into bed if I have dirty feet. I will wash them. And then crawl into bed. OCD , I know. But I still try to shake it up a bit and wear sandals every now and again to prove to people, "Yes, I have 10 toes." So yesterday, I wore my sandals. The sandals that show off my feet nicely. And what do you know, it rained. I was a half a block away from my house and I did it, I stepped into a puddle that engulfed my entire foot. GROSS. I think I stood in that puddle for a good 10 seconds before I pulled my foot out because I was so repulsed by the feeling of my foot immersed in a soggy puddle. The moment I got home, I ran into the bathroom and was washing my feet. I felt so much better after my feet were clean. It was like I was a new person.

Let's just say that today, I wore socks and shoes.

Pancake Lady!

So today Bryce and I decided we needed a LARGE soda filled with caffeine to get us through the morning and McDonald's was the place to go. We walk in and I see this woman holding her fork in a very strange way. (This is where Bryce would be my Vanna and demonstrate) Her finger was at the "spork" part of the fork and her body was contorted very strange. As we got closer, I realized that she was ASLEEP. Not nodding off and waking herself up. Full on passed out. Falling full face frontal into her pancakes. Bryce and I chatted and *cough* laughed *cough* about her while we were waiting for our "Large Dr. Pepper please". Wondering if her hair was in her pancakes. Was she late for school. Was she late for work. What did she do last night that is making her fall asleep in her pancakes. As we walked out, we went past pancake lady and what do you know. Still full on passed out and and nice chunk of her hair....in the pancakes. Hmm I wonder when she woke up...

So if you ever had a night so rough that you might fall asleep the next morning...just claim "PANCAKE LADY."

Sleepy Beauty

I have been super busy as of late! Molly came into town for the tonys and we kept ourselves super busy during the few days she was here! We had a great time and I was sad to see her go. For the past month, I have been in rehearsal for an annual benefit I work with. It's called Broadway Bares and it is a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. It's the largest event of the year and last year we made over 600,000 dollars! It's a crazy night with over 200 dancers and over 200 crew members. All who volunteer their time for this event. An amazing cause and a fantastic evening. All of broadway's best dancing their butts off and showing their "stuff" *wink wink* I still have glitter all over me. Good times. So if you're in the New York area and have yet to come to this show you are truly missing out on a superb evening. So buy your tickets! Its all tax deductible baby so DONATE DONATE DONATE!

I am absolutely exhausted and can barely keep my eyes open! Tonight I will be crashing super early! So more blogging later. Peace out YOs!

Blasphemous

A twin bed, an air-conditioner, a dresser and a trunk. That's what's left to be moved out of my apartment. It does NOT take 3 men and 400 dollars to do this when I'm moving Total Est. Time: 2 minutes Total Est. Distance: 0.50 miles. Thank you, Mapquest! Highway robbery I tell you! Bastards. Ok, done venting.

Earthquakes? In New York City?

It feels like a rolling earthquake. I thought I had gotten away from those now that I no longer live in California. Who woulda-thunk that living on a major avenue in New York City on the 5th floor (the top floor of your building) would give you the same feel of a rolling earthquake every time an extremely large semi drove by. Strange.
